Philosophy[edit]

Scrutinize, Optimize, Brutalize.

Fun and respect have a true meaning in Atomic Heroes, you'll see us having a tendency to live in or near NPC controlled 0.0 space for the simple reason that the fights are, more often then not, fought on a smaller scale and there for more tactical. But also to enable everyone to have full access to all the content EvE has to offer for those times that one needs to fund the pvp habit.

The corp itself has no assets nor funds, better a poor corp with rich pilots then poor pilots and a rich corp.

Recruitment[edit]

The corp goes by an invitational recruitement policy, what this means is that you must have a sponsor in the corp. Enemies, friends, previous corporation buddies are all welcome as long as someone vouches for you and you have their respect. Pvp eagerness and eagerness to learn if needed is a must, our pilots are in EvE to pvp.

Origin[edit]

Insurrection[edit]

Founding members of Atomic Heroes were all part of Polytype, living in the Pure Blind backend system MI6O-6 as outcasts. The only blue relation the corp had was Forces of Freedom, sharing MI6O-6 with one of their member corps. After killing an IRON pilot in MI6O-6, IRON ordered Forces of Freedom to expell Polytype from MI6O-6. Sadly the Polytype CEO Heritor had not been seen or heard of for a month.

Polytype was unable to join Forces of Freedom as a member corp due to a long standing dispute with IRON. Talks were held with Forces of Freedom who said that they would be more then happy to take us in, be it under a different corp name. A vote was held and as such all the active Polytype members decided to start up a new corporation. Atomic Heroes was born.

Former Polytype recruitment officer Commander XXX was choosen to be the CEO with DrAtomic as co-CEO.

Naming[edit]

After having weighed multiple suggestions from real silly to offending the decision was made to go with the name Atomic Heroes and the still available ticker HERO. The name itself was suggested by DrAtomic who in his turn had made up the name as a youngster while playing the BattleTech style game MechForce on the Commodore Amiga.

DrAtomic named his character after the dope related underground comic [1] by that name.

MechForce allowed to create yourself a fictional House, a House is basicly a racial allegiance or guild in BattleTech. When creating a House for himself he named it after his primary BattleMech pilot DrAtomic and added Heroes to it, leaving the Dr. part away. Thus was the name Atomic Heroes created.

Incedently the player behind the character DrAtomic owns a company with the same name.

Apocalyptic Raiders[edit]

Whilst in their 2 month probation with Maelstrom, the Atomic Heroes met a corp of similar size and spirit named Apocalyptic Raiders, albleit more experienced.

During the collapse of Maelstrom alliance and the attempted assault on the JQV constellation in Syndicate, APR and HERO came to terms to merge based on the similarities and attitudes of both members and leadership of both corporations.

Due to completness of the infrastructure Atomic Heroes had outside of the game in the form of a website and killboard it was decided that APR would merge into HERO. A vote was held amongst members off both corporations and both came out unamious.

The CEO of Apocalyptic Raiders, Kaleesh, would assume the role of CEO in Atomic Heroes, with DrAtomic stepping down to directorship.

Habitat[edit]

Pure Blind[edit]

M-76XI The Jokers POS clearance sale.

The Heroes joined Forces of Freedom and choose the system DK-FXK as their homesystem where they launched a medium POS as their base. It became clear early on that the system next door was claimed by a 0.0 pirate corp named The Jokers. During an alliance op in their first week the POS owned by The Jokers was taken down, yielding a large profit to both the alliance and participating corps.

Commander XXX did an excellent job at recruiting and so the corp grew to some 50 active members. In the mean while the Atomic Heroes pilots were tested hard by both newly formed Triumvirate and Morsus Mihi roaming gangs. Lack of alliance operations in the sense of organized pvp or at least pvp training caused lots of tension within the corp. An ultimatum was put out towards the alliance to get sorted or we'd move on. During the ultimatum Commander XXX and a few members secretly decided to roll alts and go pirating with them. Forces of Freedom being an anti-pirate alliance, for what it was worth and, Atomic Heroes members going pirate was something DrAtomic would not want to be associated with from a leadership perspective and as such he annouced to step down as director/co-ceo leaving the direction of the corp in the hands of Commander XXX. Commander XXX decided he did not want that kind of responsibility and resigned as CEO handing over leadership to Xyrex and left the corp the day after.

Forces of Freedom did not live up to their promises and as such a vote was held to pack or stay. The result was an overwhelming pack. DrAtomic re-accepted directorship under leadership of Xyrex and a search for a new alliance was started. Severum contacted some old Gh0st alliance mates (Polytype used to be a member of Gh0st) and after several talks we were accepted on a trial bases into Maelstrom and moved out to Immensea.

Immensea[edit]

Even pvp pilots need to make isk.

With everyone chipping in a large POS was bought and we moved into Immensea to join Maelstrom. Where it took us weeks to move out of Pure Blind, moving in was a breeze mainly because we received carrier support for our non-capital capable corp at that time.

We soon settled in one of the back systems continueing to live out of our newly bought large POS and had great fun roaming around in the area. Mainly fighting United Legion and the occasional Goonswarm noobship parade.

Life was good, with daily skirmishes versus United Legion, fending off the occasional roaming fleets that visited I-N and plenty of roaming ourselves. Shopping remained an issue for the corp and the POS had to be mined locally.

Untill near the end of our 2 month trial membership intel channels started buzzing, we had incoming to our station in I-NGI8. As always we hurried to get to I-N to get into the gang to defend. However this time it turned out to be more serious then a roaming fleet coming to look for a good fight, local started swelling and after 150 assorted Goons and UNL had jumped in cynos started to lit everywhere. TCF jumped in a huge dreadfleet with local going up to 600 in total, we were under attack. 3 weeks of fighting to litterally our last shuttle ensued but despite the help of the MC for a couple of days and LV near the end the station was lost in what turned out to be the start of the Goonswarm campaign versus BOB. Our station was eyed as a staging point versus LV. Maelstrom was without space.

Syndicate[edit]

Moving jumpclones to staging point.

In an attempt to regroup Maelstrom moved into Syndicate in order to try and take the JQV constellation, even though the alliance moral was extremely low the recent merger between APR and HERO made it that our focus was looking foward and we were enjoying our new corp mates. A couple of weeks in it turned out that it was just us and a handfull others that were willing to commit to the staging area of DP34-U as the alliance problems and frictions led to several corps leaving and ultimatly the collapse of the alliance entirely. Having gained the respect of our enemies we were asked to stay and join them, a corp vote was held and it was quickly approved.

And so we ended being part of the OSS, internally known as Oveurs Secret Service and offcially known as the Omega Security Syndicate.
