The Rogue Drone Disintegrator Alvum is a midrange performance Drone (Cruiser Class), it appears to have been built for patrol duties in the immediate vicinity of the Hive as it is optimized for close range combat, with its weapons only being effective at under 10 Kilometers in range and be outfitted with many manipulator arms which could do serious damage to any ship it gets its claws into. As is common with Rogue Drones it has a high velocity which is in keeping with its apparent purpose of Hive defence, in that it must close rapidly to get to grips with any thing that might threaten the Hive and any of the worker drones present.
Other then offence use this drone may well operate as a heavy lifter for the Hive, with its engine power and many manipulator arms it would easily be able to grasp and move many large mass objects effectively and quickly, such as cutting up a ship wreck to make it easier for smaller drones to process or assisting in construction work.
The first thing that should be noted about this Rogue Drone's design is it is obviously of Rogue Drone origin as it bears no resemblance to any current ship designed or manufactured by any of the Empires or Capasuleer's. This Rogue Drone is designed with a central hull which has multiple manipulator arms, four large arms which resemble cephalopod manipulators (except they terminate in weapon pods) mounted to the side and below the main hull and two smaller arms which are equipped with claws for tactile manipulation of objects, be that construction or destruction, mounted between the larger arms below the main hull. In addition to these limbs there are also four antenna like structures, two mounted to the side of the main hull and two on top of the main hull.
The antenna house directional based sensors inside a casing that is fully articulated for a large degree of movement, this gives them the ability to track signals with a high degree of sensitivity with little to no signal degradation over a range of 50 to 60 Kilometers. These antenna are also have a very high signal bandwidth capacity, presumably used when communicating with other Drones and the Hive itself.
Mounted on the front of the drone is a full sensor suite including Ladar, Magnetometric & Visual capability with a scan resolution of 265mm, which is comparable to Empire Cruisers. The main Engines appear to be based on current Empire designs, with an increase in performance as would be expected in Rogue Drone systems and are mounted directly to the rear of the Rogue Drones main hull and have the capacity to boost the drone up to a speed of 450 Meters Per Second whilst still maintaining a good level of agility, in addition this drone also features a fully operation warp drive which has a similar performance to standard Empire warp drives apart from an increased energy efficiency rating.
All of the systems that make up this drone appear to be made from unique alloys of Rogue Drone design.
The main hull is composed of a alloy made up from tritanium, pyerite and mexallon, the result of which is an extremely hard yet pliable material with some bio-chemical properties. This Condensed Alloy is the basic building material in almost all Rogue Drones and their structures, how they created such an alloy is unknown but it does possess many unique properties which are beneficial in A.I. systems.
Mounted on the end of the four main arms inside of the weapon pods, this Rogue Drone is equipped with Particle Beam weapons with a range of 9,250 Meters, this is due in part to the weapon systems power level and the nature of this particle weapon design, being intended for close range combat it is designed to fire very quickly with large capacitors integrated into it to store the power used to charge the weapons.
The advantage of a Particle Beam over any other weapon system is in the way it causes damage to its target, not by heating it as a laser does but by directing an ultra-high-energy beam of atoms or electrons into a target and thus disrupting its atomic and molecular structure. Due to the nature of this attack being a focused particle stream the beam itself contains mass which travels at close to the speed of light which causes both Kinetic damage on impact and Explosive damage from the ultra-fast heating that occurs in the target due to friction. Due to the extreme speed of a Particle Beam they are often mistaken for Lasers by the uninitiated when observed in combat.
These features make Particle Beam weapons superior to lasers, which are limited in their ability to cause damage outside of the ElectroMagnetic or Thermal band and to projectile or missile weapons as they do not require a logistics chain to supply them with ammunition.
Behaviour & Intelligence
During combat encounters this Rogue Drone acts like a heavy Interceptor, quickly moving at full speed to engage any possible threat and bringing its weapons into range where it will fire on its target whilst orbiting it at close range until it is destroyed, this seems to be an automatic/instinctive response to any unknown ship coming into range of the Hive. As is expected this Rogue Drone has no survival instinct, preferring to fight to the death in defence of its Hive, as is common with all other soldiers in Hive societies we know of in nature.
Whilst it has not yet been directly observed it has been theorised that this Rogue Drone also operates as a heavy lifter in construction work carried out in the Hive as well as lending its capabilities to tasks such as recycling ship wrecks.
The results of our research has provided us with a wealth of information, which we have formatted into current standards used in Capsuleer ships for ease of comparrison.

This particular Rogue Drone is similar in performance to the Tech I Cruisers of the Caldari State and as such it will be compared to that selection of Cruiser types.
The sensors are superior to almost all types of Caldari Tech I Cruisers, with only the one of the cruisers possessing stronger sensors. However the Rogue Drone array is outfitted with two types of sensors as opposed to the one type of sensor that Empire ships are typically fitted with, this makes this Rogue Drone much more resistant to standard ECM jamming techniques as two different ECM types must be used in conjunction to guarantee a successful jamming attempt. The scan resolution of this Rogue Drone is again almost the same as a top of the range cruisers and the maximum sensor range that it is able to aquire a target lock is around the level of the mid-range cruisers, which overall gives this Rogue Drone an excellent electronic and sensor suite, as you would expect.
Shield capacity is comparable to the mid-range cruisers but its damage resistance rating is superior to all Caldari Tech I Cruisers, this Rogue Drone appears to be designed for the shields to be its primary defence with its armor only having around half the strength of the Caldari Tech I cruisers with increased explosive and kinetic damage resistances but with less electromagnetic and thermal resistances. This is resistance profile is most likely due to the particle beam weapons employed by all types of Rogue Drones, like most races they created their armour to resist their own weapons technology.
With all these systems packed into the Hull of this Rogue Drone there is little structure at all as most of the components are connected directly to one another, due to this peculiar design this Rogue Drone has less then half the structural support of any of the Caldari Tech I cruisers. This also contributes towards this Rogue Drones signature radius which is comparable to that of a mid-range cruiser and enables this Rogue Drone to achieve speeds which are more then double that of the top-range Caldari Tech I cruisers.
Operating as a Heavy Interceptor this Rogue Drone has similar performance to basic Tech I cruisers and as such when confronted in combat by a competent Capsuleer pilot in a basic Tech I cruiser there should be little to no risk involved for that pilot, only in large numbers and in conjunction with other Rogue Drone types does this drone then become a risk as its high speed and powerful weaponry can cause it to become a serious threat to Tech I cruisers as it hammers away at them at point blank range with its particle beam weapons. Using Tech II or Faction cruisers makes engaging this Rogue Drone almost risk free, even in large numbers and amongst other Rogue Drone types.
