The Murientor Tribe is a small to medium sized corporation that has aligned itself against slavery in general and the Amarr Empire and Ammatar Mandate in particular. Supportive of the Minmatar Republic and the Gallente Federation, MURIE finds its current focus in supporting the Minmatar Milita in Factional Warfare. In its early history the Tribe was a dedicated member of Ushra'Khan but left the alliance to focus its efforts specifically on fighting the Ammatar.

Membership consists of primarily Minmatar and Gallente pod pilots, with only occasional exceptions made for Caldari pilots who strongly oppose slavery. Amarrian pilots are never accepted.

The Tribe specializes in the squad-sized hit and run tactics that have proven so successful for Minmatar freedom fighters since the time of the rebellion. The command structure of MURIE is straightforward: with higher rank comes more responsibility.

Historical Background[edit]

The historical facts of who the Murientor are and where they come from lie scattered throughout myths and legends of many people... A Murientor feels which elements are of value and fuses them to form a Murientor identity. Veritar, a well known Murientor historian who lived during the Minmatar Rebellion once tried to combine the different facts and bind them together with popular gene theory. Although Veritar’s Origins of Murientor was of great propaganda use, few deem Veritar’s efforts a real success. Murientor identity cannot be explained by cheap theory or fact. It is something which, like the Tribe’s people, lies scattered across the universe. According to the ancient myths, life was brought to the seas of Santir by three beings of godlike intelligence. The Ninta legend describes how they roamed the universe in search of a world which would rival their intelligence with pure and untamed beauty. Template:Quote

The Rise[edit]

For years the Murientor Tribe thrived. Throughout the lands wars raged, people were destroyed, people were founded but the Tribe lived. Murientor learned from the calming sounds of blue and by valuing cooperation higher than competition and beauty higher than practicality, they eventually found peace with the neighbouring tribes. Murientor came to appreciate diversity, for without it, true beauty cannot exist. Art, Technology, Literature and Love prospered for years to come. Then... The Day of Darkness.

The Fall[edit]

As quickly as they had risen as a respected and largely independent Tribe, they found themselves sucked up by a black hole: the Amarr empire. Unprepared for a sudden attack Santir was overrun by Amarrian troops. What made matters worse was the collaboration of one of the neighbouring Minmatar tribes with the Amarr. Soon the Murientor found themselves enslaved by a people which they saw as friends only so recently. Template:Quote From that day onwards, Murientor have lived enslaved, their hearts crying out for Santir.

Torn[edit]

The Nefantar, who had been put in charge of ‘guiding’ the Murientor population to a life of ‘enlightenment’, found the Murientor Tribe difficult to control. The strongest Murientor revolt is believed to have taken place about 400 years ago. The Nefantar, who had learned from the Amarr handling of the Starkmanir revolt, opted for a radical solution. In an effort to remove every remnant of resistance, they ‘delivered to God’ (read: massacred) over half of the Murientor population. The Murientor that remained were then divided. The men were seperated from their wives. The children seperated from their parents. All men were shipped to work on the Amarrian outposts in the Domain region. The women remained, with only the memory of their loved ones and the hate of the Nefantar to cling on to. Most had a short life serving their Nefantar masters, but some nurtured the memory of the Tribe. They found new husbands, and made sure their children knew who to love and who to hate. What happened to the Murientor children of the torn generation remains a mystery to this day. Almost, the Tribe was no more. Fortunately a particularly successful Gallente incursion into the Domain region, let to the release of at least a third of the male Murientor population. The freed men either joined the Gallente Navy or settled in the Carirgnottin solarsystem. There many found a new home with the local Gallente population.

The Rebellion[edit]

Vak’Atioth!

The Amarr religious conquest was finally brought to a hold by superior intelligence. It would be the beginning of the end for the Amarrian conquest of the universe. The enslaved could hope again...

Khumaak!

Drupar Maak slays Arkon Ardishapur, the royal heir of the Ardishapur family. The rebellion has begun! From now on the Amarr would no longer have their way with others. No more forced labour.. no more forced harmony. Diversity would prosper once again!

The Minmatar rebellion spread swiftly. Murientor descendants all over the universe fought bravely alongside their Matari brethren. Under pressure from the Murientor community in Carirgnottin, the Gallente Navy sent a unit, consisting mostly out of Murientor, straight into Minmatar space to aid the rebellion.

New-Santir[edit]

Template:Quote

The successful Minmatar Rebellion marks a new chapter in Murientor Tribe history. For the first time in 400 years, the two halves of the Murientor Tribe could at least partly be reunited. The joy is tempered however, by the millions of voices still crying out for freedom.

Inspired by Veritar’s Origins of Murientor, about 10 000 Murientor set out to find a new Santir. Finding a world which could live up to the beauty as described by the legends of old was not easy.. That was, until an explorer stumbled upon...New Santir!
