The Praetoriani Classiarii Templares [PCLAS], elite ground forces of the PIE golden fleet, serves as one of the most prominent militant orders that promotes the Atash Amarr.
Templars serving the PCLAS Order are formally soldiers of the Praetorian temple and often referred to as the Classiarii, shipborne warriors of the golden fleet ready to strike any enemies of the Throne, all in the name of God and the Amarr Empire.
And within this flame, the Lord found faith renewed.
- The Scriptures, Gheinok the First 1:3
Ancient texts in the Scriptures speak of Great Fires brought forth on Amarr Prime, representations of God's Will that dispelled doubt, pushed back the chaos of the Long Dark and protected the chosen. Other texts observe that the Flames were also vehicles of revelation and symbols of Imperial sovereignty, and as such sacred fire imagery can be found throughout Amarr.
Amarrian temples are built to serve the Faith, with an eternally burning Flame prominent within an inner sanctum, with others that may be kindled for specific occasions. The Fire of the Chosen, the Atash Amarr, is the most common sight, present within most temples and the focus of much Amarrian architecture from cathedrals to stations.
The highest grade of fire is the Atash Amarr, the "Fire of the Chosen", with many lesser flames are dedicated to specific tasks, roles or events. Notably the Atash Classiarii, the "Fire of the Soldier", "Fire of Heaven's Soldier" or simply known as "Soldier's Fire", is revered to be one of the most honourable fires to pay visits to and pray upon, especially by shipborn marines of the Amarr Navy and alike.
Priests and Palatinus ranked templars rarely preach or hold sermons, rather tending to fires within while praying and offering personal guidance to acolytes of the temples. Temple attendance is particularly high during seasonal celebrations and especially so during Imperial events, such as the coronation of the Empress.
